Opposition Sierra Leone People’s Party is showcasing number strength in their final mass rally today in the capital Freetown.

Party stalwarts describe the Green Day rally as significant ahead of the March 7 2018 multi tier elections.

Retired Brigadier Maada Bio is scheduled to make stopovers in various parts of Freetown, talking to supporters that have been out in the streets since morning.

One of his key messages is a message of hope to transforming Sierra Leone if he clinched victory in the polls.

He decries the ruling All People’s Congress for wrecking the economy and falling the standards of education which he said he would revamp amongst other aspects to the envy of West Africa on winning the elections.

Crowds from Calaba town, east of the capital Freetown roll-over and meet another crowd segment at the Up-gun turntable. The evening rush hours are engrossed with green crowds walking towards the city’s Central Business District to end in the far west of Freetown.

Abu Bakarr Joe Sesay, a member of the SLPP media team for the flag bearer say the one million green rally is not a campaign platform but an advance victory celebration ahead of the March 7 polls.
