NGC ENDS FINAL FREETOWN RALLY

The National Grand Coalition held their final mass rally in Freetown, February 27, after the SLPP had their Green Day the previous day.

Former UNIDO boss Alhaji Dr. Kandeh Kolleh Yumkella in his show of fitness was enticing his youthful crowd dancing roof top his motorcade. He started off at Tombo in the aquatic peninsular community drifting his supporters to join the vast pool in Waterloo in the Western Rural District. The crowd moved towards Yams Farm, Jui, Calaba Town, Wellington, into the city centre and stopped over at the National Stadium.

His running mate, Engineer Andrew Kemoh Keili occupied the other end of the peninsular west ward –drifting the crowd to the depth of Western Urban population epicentre in Brookfields, at the National stadium.

Their campaign message is ‘change’. Despite coming from the SLPP and the APC scoping a lot of supporters from those traditional political parties, the NGC believes the twin parties Alhassan and Alusine have fleeced Sierra Leone enough to a bleeding point.

They are selling off their newness to appeal a power change of hands by testing them with political power. It appears a tight race at the moment with the show of support and crowd pulling abilities. The National Grand Coalition of progressives is considered as a rainbow party that has assumed the third force spot, eclipsing the People’s Movement for Democratic Change PMDC and the Alliance Democratic Party ADP.
