Some disgruntled All People’s Congress Party (APC) members have called for resignation of the party’s National Executive Members within 48 hours from their respective positions.

A source states that such positions are bound to go vacant until the party convenes the next delegates’ conference that will reconstitute the National Advisory Committee (NAC).
The same source pinpoints that the national officers are contemplating on tendering their resignation letters. However, the additional caveat is that they should desist from visiting any of the party’s offices across the country to avoid the wrath of young members in the party.

A press release corroborated this narrative -entrenching that the persons listed below should resign and allow for an interim body that will take the party to a National Delegates Conference at a slated date.
· Ernest Bai Koroma –Chairman and Leader
· Minkailu Mansaray –Deputy Leader and Chairman
· Osman Foday Yansaneh – Secretary General
· Frank Kargbo –Deputy Secretary General
· Mohamed Dondondo Bangura –Organising Secretary
· Moijue Kaikai –Assistant Organising Secretary
· Cornelius Deveaux –Public Relations Officer
· Sannie Sesay –Treasurer

However top party hierarchy is yet to comment on this latest development.

It could be said that all is not rosy within the communist modeled political party, following outcomes in the polls and events leading to the elections created a room for lots of reservations especially the manner in which the flag bearer and the rest of national officers were handpicked.

Talks at the party headquarters point to disapproval of their supposed role leading to losing the 2018 elections.
