MAGE Sierra Leone, Sonke conclude Gender Justice Training


The training workshop for religious and traditional leaders ends with action plans detailing activities scheduled for the next six to eight months.

Project activities include community sensitization meetings, public awareness campaigns to end gender violence; religious and traditional leaders adopted the strategy to server as coaches in their respective areas and above all the participants took the challenge to end the silence culture on gender issues.

“Our lives would never be the same again”, was the popular vogue by the participants. Each said they learnt new skills and ideas and pledged to transform their societies using the acquired skills and knowledge from the training.

Reverend Khumalo Bafana and Mpho, the participants said did a great work in the course of the two-day workshop.

MAGE -Sierra Leone received commendations for standing in the gap and raising public awareness about gender justice and gender rights violations.
