Report from the north-western border town of Kambia indicate that five trailer vehicles allegedly owned by a Guinean Business man have been arrested by officials of the Anti-Corruption Commission at the weekend.
The vehicles are suspected to be carrying smuggled arms and ammunitions. Their drivers also stood accused of under paying Customs duties, according to the District Coordinator of the Office of National Security (ONS).
He further alleged that assorted dutiable goods and caches of arms and ammunitions found in the customs’ control area.
