Placed under the presidency of the Head of State, Alpha Condé, it is finally the Prime Minister Dr Ibrahima Kassory Fofana who presided this Friday, November 30 the celebration of the 28th national day of the youth. The commemorative ceremony took place at the Kaum Bluezone.
In front of his colleagues in the government, the representatives of heads of diplomatic and consular missions, those of international institutions and organizations as well as republican institutions, the Minister of Youth and Youth Employment, Mouctar Diallo recalled that this day was established by the first National Conference of Youth and Sports held from 25 September to 3 October 1990 in Conakry.
For Minister Diallo, the celebration of this anniversary festival of Guinean youth constitutes, beyond its solemn character, a privileged moment for young people and their supervisors to carry out citizen actions, to consult each other and to reflect on the numerous challenges and challenges they face. But also, he added, to advocate for authorities and partners to better address their concerns.
According to Minister Mouctar Diallo, as in most African countries, in Guinea, young people constitute the largest segment of the total population and the trend is increasing.
“While the increase in the number of young people is a source of vitality and offers great opportunities for progress, training and socio-economic integration as well as the civic integration of this vast section of the population are imperatives that must be met. the whole society. It is in this sense that the Guinean State, through the Ministry of Youth and Youth Employment, is developing, with the technical and financial support of bilateral and multilateral partners, several initiatives aimed at offering young people a multitude of opportunities. for their economic and professional development, “he explained.
To close, Mouctar Diallo challenged the different social and political forces on the danger of living together. However, he indicated that the accompaniment of the youth is a transversal action whose realization must be carried out by several actors, that they are state structures or institutions with the aid of the development.
It should be noted that the Prime Minister, Kassory Fofana, president of the ceremony, did not hold his speech after the protest of the young people.
