Striking Doctors resume work

Medical doctors in Sierra Leone have resumed work after a protracted period of strike action by junior and senior doctors. the doctors and the ministry of health and sanitation put out a press statement to inform the public about the current development.

“The Ministry of health and sanitation wishes to inform, after several meetings with Doctors regarding ongoing strike action, government has agreed on timeliness to respond to all concerns raised that will invariably start to improve the delivery of healthcare in Sierra Leone.” the press statement reads in part.
