Sierra Leone Attracts More Investors

As the New Direction administration continues to seek international partners in delivering Sustainable Development Goals, the Reseau Des Chambers Des Experts Europeens Department Afrique De L’ouest RCEEDAO, has met with top government officials of Sierra Leone in a bid to open an office in the country.
RCEEDAO, an European Network Chambers with Headquarters in Brussel, operates in Africa from Abidjan with a diplomatic mission to work for the development of African countries, investing in companies and projects and distributing profits in the territory for the common well-being.
During a dinner held over the weekend at the Raddisson Blu Hotel, Aberdeen Freetown, the President for Africa Region, H.E Sangare Sidiki Boubacar said that the nongovernmental organization has been helping in some countries with social services in the area of education, health, water, protection of vulnerable children, adding that their coming to Sierra Leone was meant to complement good works of President Julius Maada Bio.
He said that with the initial preparation in progress, they will soon start operating in the country to roll out their plans for the betterment of all.
The Deputy Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Dr. Chakanda welcomed the Chamber network, noting that Government has gone through their excellent CV which showcases the impact they are creating in other countries.
Dr. Chakanda, said that Sierra Leone was known as a war- ravaged country in the past but since that narration has now changed due to evidential developmental stride, they as Government remains committed to receiving investment and good-wills around the world. He said that with the country having 61% of youth population, there is an enabling environment for investment and the development of human resources.
The Press Secretary and Presidential Spokesperson Yussuf Keketoma Sandy, said that RCEEDAO operates in 187 countries in the world but Sierra Leone, will be the first Anglo-phone country where they will start operating which shows that the New Direction government has won the hearts of investors as it continues to lay a foundation for development.
The Country Representative, Mustapha Kamara, applauded the Government for making documentation work easier for them and assured that pretty soon, their operations will be appreciated by the people of Sierra Leone.
