Corrections Policy
Sierraleo News is committed to accuracy and transparency. When we identify a significant error in published content, we aim to correct it promptly and clearly.
Reporting an Error
Readers who believe an article contains an error, misleading statement, incorrect attribution, or other factual problem may contact us at:
Please include:
- The article title
- The article URL
- The information you believe is incorrect
- Any supporting information or source that may help us review the issue
How We Review Corrections
When a correction request is received, we may review the original sources, supporting documents, public records, statements, or other relevant information.
If we determine that a material factual error occurred, we will update the article as appropriate.
Types of Corrections
Corrections may include:
- Fixing incorrect names, dates, locations, figures, or quotations
- Correcting inaccurate factual statements
- Updating attribution
- Clarifying language that could reasonably mislead readers
- Correcting captions, headlines, or other supporting information
Minor spelling, grammar, formatting, or style changes may be corrected without a formal correction notice when they do not materially change the meaning of the article.
Correction Notices
When a correction materially changes or clarifies an important part of an article, we may include a correction or editor’s note explaining what was changed.
Where appropriate, the original publication date and updated date may remain visible.
Developing Stories
News can change quickly. Articles covering developing events may be updated as new verified information becomes available.
An update that adds new information does not necessarily mean the original article contained an error.
Artificial Intelligence
If an error is introduced through the use of artificial intelligence, automated tools, transcription, summarization, translation, or other technology, Sierraleo News remains responsible for reviewing and correcting the published material.
