Alice George has received NLe17,500 as the first grand-prize winner in Nutribom's Buy, Scan and Win promotion.
Alice George has received NLe17,500 after being named the first grand-prize winner in Nutribom’s ongoing “Buy, Scan and Win” promotion.
The prize was presented during a ceremony at 79 Campbell Street in Freetown on Tuesday, October 6, 2026. George completed the verification process by presenting a valid identification card and a copy of her Nutribom promotional screenshot.
George said she learned about the promotion through an advertisement on Facebook and decided to participate.
“I only saw the advert for the promo recently on Facebook, so I decided to try my luck. I played with faith and, God so good, I won,” she said.
Promotion open across Sierra Leone
Mary Kabay, who served as master of ceremonies, said the promotion is available to Nutribom customers across Sierra Leone and is not restricted to Freetown. She encouraged consumers around the country to take part.
The promotion began in September 2026. Participants are required to purchase a specially marked Nutribom promotional pack, scan its QR code with a smartphone, spin and follow the instructions provided.
According to the promotion information, customers can receive a range of rewards, including cash prizes, mobile airtime top-ups, e-books and Nutribom products. Listed airtime rewards include NLe250 and NLe125.
Amin Kef, Nutribom’s media consultant, encouraged the public to continue buying the products and participating in the promotion. He said customers could win different prizes, including significant cash rewards, by following the required steps.
Kef also said the promotion was intended to strengthen customers’ confidence in Nutribom and its products. He described the public presentation of the prize as a way to demonstrate the promotion’s credibility and transparency.
Claims about the nutritional qualities of Nutribom products were also made at the ceremony. Kef said the products are among the best nutritional products for children and support them as they grow stronger.
Winner outlines plans for prize money
George said an unnamed doctor had recommended Nutribom for her daughter because of what she described as its nutritional and wholesome qualities for babies. She said she began giving Nutribom to her daughter at nine months and that the child, now two years old, continues to consume Nutribom pap.
George said she plans to use the prize money to support her family and contribute toward her studies in medical school.
“I feel grateful for this winning, but it is God who willed it,” she said.
George also sought to reassure other consumers about the promotion.
“The promotion is not fake. Everything is real,” she said.
