Oppo has launched the F35 Pro 5G in India at a starting price of ₹45,999, with open sales scheduled for October 11. The company has not confirmed launch dates or local prices for African markets.
Oppo has introduced the F35 Pro 5G in India, pairing a large battery with a high-refresh-rate display and a wide-angle selfie camera.
The smartphone was launched on October 5 alongside the standard Oppo F35 5G. It starts at ₹45,999, equivalent to about $475, and open sales are scheduled to begin on October 11 at 12 p.m. India time. Oppo India’s product page is already accepting pre-orders.
India is currently the only confirmed market for the device. Oppo has not announced launch dates or local prices for Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa or Ghana.
Battery and performance
The F35 Pro has an advertised 8,000mAh battery, although Oppo lists its rated capacity as 7,780mAh. It supports 80W charging, and a SUPERVOOC charger is included in the box. Oppo claims the phone can provide up to 2.95 days of use on a single charge in laboratory tests, a figure that has not been independently verified.
Powering the device is MediaTek’s Dimensity 7360 MAX processor, built on a 4nm process. Oppo has also fitted a 5,000 mm² vapour chamber for cooling. The phone is offered with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and storage options of up to 256GB. It uses UFS 3.1 storage and does not include a memory-card slot.
Oppo advertises six years of smooth performance for the 256GB model and five years for 128GB versions. Smartprix separately reports that the company promises three years of operating-system updates and four years of security patches, but that policy is not stated on Oppo’s own product pages.
Display and cameras
The phone features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2772 by 1272 pixels. Its refresh rate reaches 144Hz, while Oppo says some applications can operate at 60Hz to help save power.
Oppo’s product page advertises peak brightness of 3,600 nits. However, its specifications page lists 800 nits for normal use and 1,800 nits in high-brightness mode. Independent testing will be needed to assess the difference between the figures.
At the front is a 50MP autofocus selfie camera with a 100-degree field of view. It can record 4K video at 30 frames per second. The company also says the F35 Pro adds an ultra-wide rear camera compared with the standard F35.
Design, durability and availability
The F35 Pro comes in Sunrise Orange and Twilight Brown, while the Wave Blue version has a 3D wave texture. The handset is 8.4mm thick and weighs 210g.
Oppo lists IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for the phone. The IP68 test description refers to still water at a depth of 1.5 metres for 30 minutes. Water resistance can decline over time, and liquid damage is excluded from Oppo’s warranty, according to the product information.
Indian buyers can access a free one-year extended warranty offer, with the listed offers running until October 21. As of October 7, no confirmed listings had been found for the phone on Jumia, Slot, Konga or Jiji. Oppo’s Nigerian website listed Reno and A series devices but no F series model at that time.
