Port Loko's Entertainment Scene Welcomes a Fresh Presidential Maestro
From the diverse realms of the union, spanning Disk Jokeys (DJ’s), Masters of Ceremony (MC’S), filmmakers, Texas enthusiasts, callers, artists, and the dynamic prom team, a formidable assembly of 36 qualified voters emerged. The electoral arena witnessed the casting of 35 votes, all deemed valid. In this democratic tapestry, Musa Mike Sesay seized 20 votes, Aruna Dumbuya secured 2, and Yayah Bashir Kargbo garnered 13.
Overseeing this creative ballot dance was the venerable Alhaji Alimamy Kamara, affectionately known as Uncle Vedy, who unveiled the presidential term as a three-year stint. Shedding light on the challenges faced, he highlighted funding woes and the struggle to gain the people's trust, often attributed to the candidates' youthful vigor.
In an exclusive post-victory dialogue, Sesay attributed his triumph to dedication, commitment, and the sacrifices he deems best for the people. Reflecting on his entertainment journey since 2012, he outlined his roles as financial secretary and acting secretary general in the outgoing administration. Sesay emphasized his profound connection with the people as the catalyst for his success. Looking ahead, he outlined plans to foster unity among entertainment members, including his former contenders, and expand the union's reach to neighboring towns like Lungi, Lunsar, and Gbaray Junction.
