President Bio Elevates Diplomatic Relations with UAE Minister of State

In a significant stride towards fostering stronger diplomatic ties, His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio of Sierra Leone engaged in fruitful discussions with the esteemed Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), His Excellency Sheikh Shakboot Nahyan Al Nahyan, at the State House in Freetown on Thursday, April 4, 2024.

 

This meeting underscored a pivotal moment in the ongoing efforts to bolster the relationship between Sierra Leone and the UAE, building upon President Bio’s recent visit to the UAE in March. The continuation of this dialogue signifies a mutual commitment to advancing shared interests and objectives between the two nations.

 

The discussions during the meeting encompassed a wide array of modalities aimed at solidifying shared goals to realize the developmental aspirations of both Sierra Leone and the UAE. President Bio and Minister Sheikh Shakboot Nahyan Al Nahyan explored strategies to deepen cooperation in crucial sectors such as trade, investment, infrastructure development, and technology transfer.
