Vice President Juldeh Jarrow begins public hearing on 2024 national budget policy

 

Sierra Leone Vice President Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jallow officially opens the political hearing for the 2024 national budget preparation process on Friday, October 6, 2023 at the Brookfields Hotel in Freetown. did. This event marked the beginning of the important process of preparing the national budget.

 

In his speech at the program, Vice President Jude Jarrow focused on reinforcing the results of President Bio's human capital development program and spoke with the Minister of Finance who worked on the formulation of the national budget for fiscal year 2024. He praised the team's efforts. These achievements include improvements in education, health, energy, infrastructure and other key areas.

 

Vice President Jourde Jareau stressed the importance of focusing attention on key areas such as health, education and agriculture. He emphasized that these sectors have great potential for job creation, economic growth and achieving food self-sufficiency.

 

 

 

Vice President Jarrow, in his closing remarks, called on the Treasury to explore innovative approaches to increasing revenue and effectively managing public spending. He said these efforts include a comprehensive review of the tax system to improve the investment climate, active engagement and support for the private sector, and efforts to stabilize prices, especially for essential commodities such as rice, onions and flour.
