National Social Security and Insurance Trust Director General Chernor Mamoud Jalloh has begun a week-long operational tour of the institution’s regional, operational and investment sites across Sierra Leone.
The newly appointed Director General started the programme on 14 September 2026 with a visit to the NASSIT Sub-Office in Kono District.
Engagements in Kono
During the opening phase of the tour, Jalloh engaged with NASSIT staff and met Paramount Chiefs, Section Chiefs and Town Chiefs in Kono District.
He told staff that management was committed to their welfare and to improving service delivery. Jalloh also outlined a vision of repositioning the scheme for greater efficiency and impact.
In his engagements with traditional leaders, he assured them of effective service delivery, integrity and prudent investment strides by the scheme.
Nationwide focus
The tour is expected to include engagements with staff in all NASSIT regional offices. According to the stated purpose of the programme, these discussions will focus on addressing challenges and strengthening social security services for contributors and pensioners nationwide.
The remaining locations to be visited during the tour have not been specified.
