The first buyers are expected to receive their phones on Friday, October 23. Apple has also scheduled availability in another 28 countries and regions for October 30.
Pricing and availability
The iPhone Duo starts at $1,999 in the United States. Apple is offering the device in four storage sizes, although prices for each capacity were not provided in the available information.
Apple says orders will open across more than 70 countries and regions. The markets named include Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, France, Germany, India, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, South Korea, Türkiye, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, the United States and Vietnam.
The timing for local shops and independent resellers may differ from Apple’s schedule. Delivery dates may also depend on the seller and the date shown during checkout.
eSIM-only design
The iPhone Duo uses an eSIM in every country and does not include a physical SIM card slot. Buyers importing the phone should therefore confirm that their network supports the device and its eSIM requirements before placing an order.
Other costs may also affect the final price. Checkout fees, import charges and delivery expenses can raise the amount paid by buyers who purchase the phone from another country.
Warranty and repair arrangements may vary depending on where the phone was bought. Apple can limit iPhone warranty service to the country where a device was first sold. Some phones purchased through United States carrier payment plans may also remain locked until they are fully paid off.
Reported production concerns
MacRumors, citing China’s Jiemian News, reported that a supply-chain source put final assembly yields at just above 60% as of September 17. Apple has not confirmed that figure, and the available information does not establish whether it will affect the number of phones available at launch.
According to Apple’s official specifications, the Duo does not have a telephoto camera. Its main camera provides 2x optical zoom.
Buyers considering the device are advised to review the seller’s terms, network compatibility, warranty coverage, repair options and the total cost shown at checkout before ordering.
