New Life Ministries Gives Free Items to More Than 300 Women at Freetown Conference
New Life Ministries International provided free shopping items to more than 300 women during its 26th National Women’s Conference in Freetown.
More than 300 women received free shopping items during New Life Ministries International’s 26th National Women’s Conference, held in Freetown from October 6 to 11, 2026.
The six-day gathering took place at Miracle City on Ross Road in Cline Town under the theme “EMERGE.” Its programme included worship, prayer, teaching and fellowship, with participants attending from Sierra Leone, Liberia and The Gambia.
Items distributed
A free shopping exercise was conducted on Friday, October 9, within the church compound. Eligible women were allowed to select three to four items from a range that included 25-kilogram bags of rice, cloth, shoes and ladies’ bags.
Rechargeable speakers were also provided for pastors. The items were secured through contributions from well-wishers and members of the ministry’s Women’s Department.
Rev. (Mrs.) Irene Cole, the ministry’s International Women’s Supervisor and Co-General Overseer and the conference’s chief convener, said the exercise was intended to offer practical support while encouraging women to return to the annual gathering.
“This is an effort to encourage women to participate every year in the conference and also to give back to women across the country,” Cole said.
Growing participation
According to Cole, the free shopping exercise benefited more than 300 women this year, compared with 150 beneficiaries during its inaugural edition in 2025. She said organizers plan to improve the programme further in the coming year.
Eligibility was limited to fully registered women who had taken part in the conference from its opening day through Friday, according to Cole.
Participants came from communities including Kailahun, Bo, Kenema, Bonthe, Pujehun, Kabala, Makeni, Kambia and Freetown. Delegates also attended from Liberia and The Gambia.
Rev. (Mrs.) Felicia Neufville of Monrovia, Liberia, delivered the keynote address. Conference activities focused on spiritual growth, fellowship, sharing experiences and building relationships.
Beneficiaries prayed for the continuation of both the conference and the support initiative.
