Bo West Division Promotes Unity with Community Jogging Initiative
The Bo West Division Community Relations Department (CRD), in partnership with the Local Policing Partnership Board (LPPB) and other stakeholders, organized a foot parade titled “Waka Fast an Chek u Neba” on December 21, 2024. This initiative aimed to foster peace, curb crime, and strengthen community ties.
Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Alphonso Abdulai Fambulleh, popularly known as “Correct Man,” praised community members for their collaboration in crime prevention and intelligence sharing. He encouraged continued partnership to maintain peace in the region.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Almamy Libo Bangura added a lively touch to the event by leading participants in singing songs that reflected societal challenges, creating a spirited atmosphere during the parade.
The parade traversed key streets in Bo, spreading messages of peace and security while engaging residents along the route. Community leaders, including members of the LPPB, emphasized the importance of supporting local safety efforts and working closely with the police to enhance security.
Regional Police Commander South, Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Brima Kanneh, commended the initiative for its potential to build trust and unity between law enforcement and the public.
LUC CSP Fambulleh concluded the event by thanking all participants and reaffirming the police's dedication to promoting peace and security in Bo West Division. He called for institutionalizing such initiatives to strengthen community relationships and enhance safety.
