Police Arrest Three in Bo City Over Money-Doubling Scam

Authorities in Bo City have apprehended three individuals accused of defrauding a local resident of Le 18,200 in a money-doubling scheme.

The suspects, identified as Alhaji Kutubu, Abubakarr Jah, and Paul Max Bio (also known as Wizzy), were arrested following a complaint from Maseray Sheriff, the victim.

According to reports, Sheriff handed over Le 18,200 on February 15, 2025, with the expectation of receiving a profit by the end of the day. When the promised return never materialized, she reported the matter to the police.

Investigations suggest that the suspects had been involved in similar fraudulent activities across Bo City and neighboring areas. During their arrest, authorities seized a device resembling a printer, suspected to be used for counterfeiting money, along with burned Mercury papers, commonly associated with scams.

The investigation remains ongoing as law enforcement officials work to uncover the full extent of the suspects' operations.
