Man Questioned After Posing as Statistics Field Worker in Freetown
A young man was stopped and questioned in the Dwarzack area of Freetown after he was seen wearing an official statistics identification vest, sparking concerns among field supervisors.
Supervisors became suspicious after noticing that the man did not behave like a registered field worker. When approached and asked whether he had started work, he claimed that he had. However, when pressed to identify the team he was assigned to, he declined to give an answer.
The situation raised further alarm, prompting a supervisor to instruct the man to remove the vest once he returned home, explaining that he was not authorized to wear official work gear. The man reportedly resisted the instruction, saying the vest belonged to his aunt and questioning why he should take it off.
Tensions escalated until a police officer intervened and confiscated the vest from the individual. It remains unclear whether any further action will be taken by authorities.
