"Wages and Compensation Commission Urges Public Sector Institutions to Submit Employee Terms by September 15"
The Wages and Compensation Commission (WCC) has issued a notice requiring all public sector institutions to submit their employees' Terms and Conditions of Service by September 15, 2024. The submissions should be sent to the Commission’s office located at #8 Wesley Street, Freetown.
The WCC, established by an Act of Parliament and signed into law by President Julius Maada Bio in April 2023, began operations in January 2024. Its primary role is to manage public sector wages and compensation, ensuring fairness and transparency.
The Commission's mandate includes harmonizing the pay structure across Sierra Leone's public sector, promoting merit-based remuneration, and fostering equity.
