Chief Minister Sengeh Stands with Fullah Community, Donates Equipment and Cement for Skills Centre

Sierra Leone’s Chief Minister, David Sengeh, has shown strong support for the Fullah community by donating construction materials and equipment to help bring a long-awaited skills development centre to life.

During a visit to the home of Fullah Chief Alhaji Sarjoh Jalloh, Sengeh fulfilled a promise he made weeks earlier. Accompanied by his children, he presented a mobile public address system to support community activities and handed over 200 bags of cement to the Women’s Leader, marking the start of construction work on the centre.

The initiative also received backing from other government officials. The Minister of Communication, Technology and Innovation, Salima Bah, pledged to provide computers once the building is completed, ensuring the centre is well-equipped for training and learning.

Sengeh acknowledged the encouragement and engagement of the Minister and Deputy Minister of Technical and Higher Education, Ramatulai Wurie and Sarjoh Aziz Kamara, as well as support from Chernor Bah, a former presidential running mate of the main opposition party.

Members of the Fullah community expressed deep appreciation for the donations and the collective effort behind the project, praising the continued generosity shown toward their development goals.

In return, the community presented Chief Minister Sengeh with a beautifully crafted leppi dress. He thanked them warmly and emphasized the importance of teaching younger generations the value of generosity, unity, and giving back.
