Education Minister Assesses School Feeding Program in Kent

On December 21, 2024, the Minister of Basic and Senior Secondary Education, Conrad Sackey, visited REC Primary School in Kent to evaluate the ongoing school feeding program. Accompanied by Deputy Minister Emily Gogra and National Program Coordinator Augustine Koroma, the visit aimed to ensure the program’s efficiency in providing nutritious meals to students.

 

During the visit, the team observed meal distribution and engaged with students, teachers, and school administrators. Minister Sackey expressed satisfaction with the positive impact of the initiative, noting the students’ excitement as they received their meals.

 

In discussions with school leaders, challenges and concerns about the program were addressed. Minister Sackey assured stakeholders of the government’s commitment to addressing these issues and enhancing educational infrastructure in the coming year.

 

He also praised teachers for their significant contributions, describing them as key players in shaping the future of the nation.
