Ministry of Education Sets Start Date for 2024/25 School Year
The Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education (MBSSE) has announced that the 2024/25 academic year will officially start on Monday, September 9, 2024. Schools nationwide are expected to reopen on this date.
In a recent statement, the ministry reminded school administrators, teachers, parents, and students to prepare for the upcoming term. All schools have been instructed to commence teaching on the first day.
"Classes will begin immediately, and we urge all parents to ensure their children attend from day one," the ministry emphasized. Teachers and administrators are also encouraged to make necessary arrangements for a smooth start.
The ministry also called on parents to get their children ready for the new academic year, stressing the importance of prompt attendance as lessons will start without delay.
