Nationwide Health Worker Verification Set to Begin Soon, Ministry Announces
The Ministry of Health has announced an upcoming comprehensive verification process for all health workers across the country. This verification will apply to all personnel working in government health facilities and aims to ensure the accuracy and transparency of the ministry's payroll system.
The exercise will be conducted in collaboration with other government agencies, including the Anti-Corruption Commission and Civil Society Organizations. The Ministry has notified health workers to be prepared, as the process could begin any time after one month of receiving the notice.
Health workers are required to have key documents ready for verification, including their appointment letters, NASSIT ID card, national ID card, promotion letters, staff ID card, and any other relevant documents.
The Ministry has emphasized that all directors, program managers, district medical officers, and department heads are responsible for communicating this information to their teams. Those who fail to present themselves for verification without a valid excuse risk being removed from the payroll, and their services will be terminated.
This notice has been issued with a sense of urgency, and all health workers are expected to treat it seriously.
