On October 10, 2024, the Orange Sierra Leone Foundation donated digital learning kits to Bishop Crowther Primary School and Sierra Leone Muslim Brotherhood Primary School in Freetown. This donation marked the second phase of the Orange Digital School Kits initiative, designed to boost digital learning and technological skills among young students.

Held at Bishop Crowther Primary School, the event welcomed notable guests, including Orange Sierra Leone's CEO, the Minister of Information and Civic Education, and local community leaders. The kits included tablets, laptops, projectors, Bluetooth speakers, and other digital tools, enabling students to build essential digital skills and access educational resources.

The head teachers expressed heartfelt gratitude, emphasizing the importance of the kits in enhancing students' digital education and promising to maintain the equipment for effective use. CEO Sekou Amadou Bah highlighted the impact of digital access in under-resourced schools and encouraged students to embrace these tools for a brighter future.

Minister of Information and Civic Education commended the initiative, aligning it with national goals for educational development. He inspired students to value learning as essential in a digital world, while urging school authorities to ensure the kits are used responsibly for the benefit of the pupils.

The event concluded with the formal handover of the kits, marking a significant step in advancing digital literacy for Freetown’s young learners.
