
President Boakai Extends Congratulations to Sierra Leone and the Netherlands
The President of Liberia, Joseph Nyuma Boakai, has sent congratulatory messages to the leaders of Sierra Leone and the Netherlands as both nations prepare to celebrate significant national milestones on April 27, 2025.
President Boakai, on behalf of the Government and people of Liberia, extended warm felicitations to President Julius Maada Bio in honor of Sierra Leone’s 64th Independence Anniversary. He expressed confidence that as Liberia and Sierra Leone continue to work together through regional and international organizations, including the Mano River Union, ECOWAS, the African Union, and the United Nations, Sierra Leone’s aspirations for peace and prosperity will be achieved. He also emphasized the importance of strengthening the historical and friendly ties between the two neighboring countries for their mutual benefit.
In a separate message to King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, President Boakai offered congratulations and best wishes to the Dutch people on their National Day. He highlighted the strong and historic relationship between Liberia and the Netherlands, based on shared values of diplomacy, economic collaboration, and mutual respect.
President Boakai acknowledged the Netherlands’ leadership on global issues and praised the ongoing partnership between the two nations, particularly in areas such as trade, human rights, and sustainable development. He expressed optimism about further strengthening the relationship between Liberia and the Netherlands, grounded in equality, solidarity, and mutual progress.
