UN Resident Coordinator Seraphine Wakana Extols Sierra Leone’s Dedication to Gender and Children’s Affairs

 

In a recent meeting between UN Resident Coordinator Seraphine Wakana and Isata Mahoi, the head of Sierra Leone’s Ministry of Gender and Children’s Affairs, commendations were extended for Sierra Leone's unwavering commitment to gender and children’s welfare. The discussion, focused on Mahoi’s initiatives and priorities, shed light on the collaborative efforts to address gender-related issues in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

 

Isata Mahoi, during the meeting, provided a comprehensive overview of the ongoing initiatives by the Ministry of Gender & Children’s Affairs. Updates were shared on various policies, programs, and strategies aimed at promoting gender equality and enhancing the well-being of children in Sierra Leone. Mahoi emphasized the significance of international collaboration and expressed gratitude for the continuous support received from the United Nations Sierra Leone (@UNSierraLeone).

 

UN Resident Coordinator Seraphine Wakana took the opportunity to congratulate Isata Mahoi on her appointment and acknowledged her pivotal role in advancing the causes of gender and children in Sierra Leone.
