Driver Arrested at Manbudu Checkpoint For Cannabis Possession
On the bustling Makeni-Kono Highway, specifically at the Manbudu Police Checkpoint, law enforcement officers made a significant arrest on the 6th of May, 2024. Issa Sesay, a resident of No. 3 Saccoh Lane in Makeni town and a driver registered with vehicle number APT 725, found himself in police custody for the possession of a substantial quantity of cannabis.
The arrest occurred during a routine search conducted by the officers, where Sesay was found to be transporting 69 kilograms of Cannabis Sativa. According to reports, Sesay claimed that the cannabis was entrusted to him by an individual from Kombayendeh town for safe delivery.
Following the arrest, both Issa Sesay and the confiscated cannabis were taken into police custody at the Motema Police Station, awaiting further legal proceedings.
