Freetown Woman Shares Frightening Encounter with Alleged Ritualists
A woman named Mariatu Kanu has gone public with a chilling account of a suspected ritual incident in the Boss Station area of Freetown.
In a video shared online, Kanu describes being approached by two men who asked for directions to a location called PZ and inquired about a female herbalist whose vehicle reportedly bore the word "Bismillah." She told them she knew nothing about either.
As she attempted to leave, a third man allegedly joined them and claimed that her aunt had cursed her with leprosy—an accusation she denied. Kanu says the situation escalated when one of the men grabbed her hand, instructing her to walk quickly without turning around or encountering pregnant or nursing women.
The alleged herbalist then, according to Kanu, spat on a stone, placed it in her hand, and called her name four times. She claims she immediately lost consciousness.
She later regained awareness after a stranger intervened, causing the stone to drop from her hand. Kanu says she then began to cry, overwhelmed by fear and confusion.
She reported that two of the men involved have since been arrested in connection with
the incident.
