Kaffa Family Seeks Justice for Daughter Allegedly Beaten to Death by Boyfriend in Kono

The Kaffa family and residents of Bumanjah Village in Upper Sandor Chiefdom, Kono District, are demanding justice after the tragic death of 27-year-old Sia Kaffa.

 

It is alleged that Sia was violently assaulted by her boyfriend, Tamba Sandi, on Thursday, October 17, 2024. She succumbed to her injuries on Sunday, October 20, 2024.

 

Sia's body is currently at the Connaught Mortuary in Freetown, where a post-mortem examination will determine the official cause of death. Tamba Sandi, the accused, is in police custody at the Kono Police Station as investigations continue.

 

The grieving family is appealing to human rights organizations, the police, and the First Lady to ensure a swift investigation. The local community is calling for justice to be served promptly in a case that has stirred widespread outrage.

 

The investigation is ongoing, and the Kaffa family remains hopeful that justice will be achieved for Sia.
