Police arrest woman on cannabis sativa in Kambia
Amid the recent security situation in Kambia Division, police officers stationed at Madamaya Police Checkpoint arrested a person named Hawanatu Kamara from Kambiair.
Mr. Camara was arrested after he was found in possession of five compressed packages believed to contain dried cannabis sativa leaves.
The arrest caused concern in the local community and authorities launched a full investigation into the matter. Both the suspect and the seized evidence are currently in police custody pending investigation and legal proceedings.
