Police Unveil Critical Evidence Against Freetown Armed Robbery Suspects

On July 22, 2024, in Pademba Road Court No.1Freetown, police presented key evidence against three notorious individuals: Chernor Jalloh, 28, a plumber known as Fullah Boy; Gibrilla Kamara, 20, also known as Wizzy; and Saidu Governor Kargbo, 62, a businessman.

The trio faces multiple charges including conspiracy, three counts of robbery with aggravation, causing grievous bodily harm, wounding, assault, and receiving stolen goods. These charges arise from a violent robbery on March 25, 2024, at No. 84 Maraya Street, Bathurst Village, where the accused allegedly used a shotgun and machetes, causing severe injuries to several victims.

Inspector Kadie M. Taylor, representing the prosecution, introduced Sub Inspector Kalie Saidu Kamara as a key witness. Kamara, an exhibit clerk at Lumley Police Station, detailed the evidence collected from the crime scene, including a shotgun, cartridges, several mobile phones, a gold chain, rings, laptops, and other items. This evidence, cataloged under serial number 16/2024, was formally submitted to the court.

During the hearing, the accused were subjected to cross-examination. Magistrate Sahr Kekura denied bail to Jalloh and Kamara, while Kargbo’s bail status remains under review. The court has adjourned the case to August 5, 2024, for further proceedings.
