Sierra Leone Police Apprehend Individual for False Impersonation

Sierra Leone Police at Gendema Division nabbed Ibrahim Bangura from Kebbie Town on November 21, 2023, for falsely posing as a Police Inspector during his visit to Liberia. The Kambia resident, currently unemployed, confessed to fraudulent activities, with his grammatical inconsistencies in the Police diary quickly leading to his arrest.

Bangura is now held at the Regional Criminal Investigations Department, where he faces further questioning. AIG Brima Kanneh, the Regional Police Commander South, emphasizes ongoing efforts to combat crime, assuring the public of maintaining peace. He states that Bangura will face the legal consequences for his impersonation. The suspect himself admitted guilt, taking full responsibility for his actions.
