Team Sierra Leone’s Robot Qualifies for 2024 Global Robotics Challenge in Greece  

Team Sierra Leone has successfully passed the inspection phase for the 2024 First Global Robotics Challenge, paving the way for their participation in this international competition.  

 

On September 26, 2024, officials thoroughly examined the team's robot to ensure it met all design and programming requirements under the theme “Feeding the Future.” Team Sierra Leone’s robot passed, showcasing its technical precision and innovation.  

 

Built using a standardized kit provided in August 2024, the team has spent the past two months assembling and programming their robot, focused on addressing global issues such as agriculture and food security.  

 

With the inspection complete, Team Sierra Leone is ready to compete and is optimistic about their chances in the upcoming events in Athens. The competition brings together teams from around the world to solve real-world problems through robotics, highlighting Sierra Leone’s growing interest in STEM education and innovation.
