"Trailblazing Supreme Court Justice Patricia Ebunolorun Macaulay Passes Away, Leaving a Lasting Legacy"

Supreme Court Justice Patricia Ebunolorun Macaulay, a pioneering figure in Sierra Leone's legal history, has passed away, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished for generations to come. She shattered barriers by becoming the first woman to serve as a Justice on the Supreme Court of Sierra Leone. Her family announced her passing on April 5th, 2024, through a poignant obituary notice.

 

To honor her remarkable life and contributions, a funeral and communion service will be held on Monday, April 15th, 2024, at The Church of Holy Trinity on Kissy Road, Freetown.

 

Justice Macaulay's impact on Sierra Leone's legal landscape is profound and enduring, leaving an indelible mark on the nation's judiciary. Her dedication to justice and equality will be remembered fondly by many.
