Abdulai Juma Bah Ready to Give His Best for Leone Stars in World Cup Qualifiers
Manchester City center-back Abdulai Juma Bah is set to achieve his lifelong dream of representing Sierra Leone as he joins the national team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The young defender, who has been making a name for himself in European football, expressed his excitement about the opportunity. “It’s a dream come true to represent my country. I’m ready to give my all and make Sierra Leone proud,” Bah said.
Born and raised in Freetown, Bah showcased his talent early on, progressing through local football ranks before moving to Europe. His strong defensive skills, game intelligence, and leadership qualities have established him as one of Sierra Leone’s most promising defenders.
Under the guidance of head coach Mohamed Kallon, Bah's inclusion is expected to strengthen the team’s defense. The Leone Stars are currently in a rebuilding phase, blending experienced players with emerging talents.
Sierra Leone faces a tough road in the qualifiers against strong African opponents. However, Bah remains optimistic. “We know the challenge ahead, but we are ready to fight for every point. The dream is to see Sierra Leone at the World Cup, and we will do everything to make it happen,” he affirmed.
