SLFA President Meets Leone Afric Metals to Explore Football Partnership Opportunities
The President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Babadi Kamara, recently met with officials from Leone Afric Metals Limited to discuss a potential partnership aimed at advancing football development in Sierra Leone.
The meeting, held at the SLFA Secretariat in Kingtom, Freetown, is part of President Kamara’s broader initiative to rebuild corporate confidence and attract sponsorships to boost football activities nationwide.
Representing Leone Afric Metals Limited were President Zhong Lei, Chief Executive Officer Jianhua Xu, and Assistant to the CEO Gong Wei.
During the discussion, Mr. Zhong Lei expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to engage with the SLFA leadership and highlighted the company’s readiness to collaborate in promoting the sport’s growth and sustainability.
In response, SLFA President Kamara welcomed the company’s positive interest and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to building credible and productive partnerships that will help transform Sierra Leonean football.
The engagement concluded with a guided tour of the SLFA Academy facilities, where the Leone Afric Metals delegation was briefed on ongoing football development programs.
Both parties described the meeting as a promising step toward strengthening corporate involvement in national sports development, with further discussions expected to solidify the partnership in the coming weeks.
