SLFA President Babadi Kamara Attends WAFU A Zonal Meeting with CAF Leadership

Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) President, Babadi Kamara, joined CAF President Patrice Motsepe and other West African football executives at the WAFU A Zonal Meeting held in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 47th CAF General Assembly on Saturday, October 4, 2025.

 

 

The high-level session brought together presidents and representatives from WAFU member associations to discuss major priorities for football development across the region. Discussions focused on youth football, infrastructure investment, and strengthening collaboration among national federations to drive long-term growth.

 

During the meeting, President Kamara expressed gratitude to Motsepe for his continued support to regional football bodies. He reaffirmed Sierra Leone’s readiness to contribute to WAFU A’s collective progress and CAF’s broader mission of transforming African football.

 

Kamara was accompanied by SLFA Vice President 1, Ali Badara Tarawallie, and Acting General Secretary, Mohamed Benson Bawoh. Together, they restated Sierra Leone’s commitment to CAF’s vision of advancing football through unity, transparency, and sustainable development.

 

The 47th CAF Ordinary General Assembly, scheduled for Monday, October 6, 2025, in Kinshasa, serves as the Confederation’s highest decision-making platform. It brings together African football federations to present activity reports, discuss competitions, development programs, and adopt key policy frameworks aimed at improving the game across the continent.
