Agreement Reached for New Mini Stadium in Tihun Sogbini, Bonthe District

On Friday, September 13, 2024, an agreement was finalized for the construction of a modern mini stadium in Tihun Sogbini Chiefdom, Bonthe District. The signing took place at the residence of Paramount Chief Prince Lansana Bio, with key figures from Sierra Leone's sports sector in attendance, including the Minister of Sports, Madam Augusta James-Teima, and other government officials.

The project aims to boost local sports infrastructure and provide new opportunities for youth development. Minister James-Teima highlighted the significance of sports in empowering young people and fostering social cohesion.

Paramount Chief Bio expressed his gratitude to the government and stakeholders for supporting this initiative, which is expected to strengthen community pride and unity.

Once completed, the stadium will host football, athletics, and other sporting events, becoming a vital hub for the region. This development brings hope for enhanced sports facilities in rural Sierra Leone, particularly for the youth in Bonthe District.
