APC Chairman Urges Unity and Strong Leadership in Kono Peace Tour
During a peace tour in Kono, Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray, the National Chairman of the All People’s Congress (APC), called for unity and competence within the party to foster progress and effective leadership.
Mansaray emphasized the importance of reconciliation and putting aside internal divisions in order to prioritize the party’s growth. He acknowledged Kono’s significant historical role in the party, urging members to move beyond factional differences that could threaten unity.
He used the metaphor of a vehicle to illustrate the need for strong leadership, stating, “If we have a reckless driver who is unable to drive our vehicle, we must stop that reckless driver and find a competent one.” He called on party members to embrace a unified vision and confront leadership challenges decisively.
The chairman also stressed the importance of operating as a single team, urging members to adopt an inclusive approach that welcomes diverse perspectives. As part of strengthening the party’s regional presence, Mansaray announced plans to build a new APC office in the southern region.
Additionally, he proposed a review of the party’s structure to incorporate energetic young members, ensuring its future relevance.
The peace tour in Kono marked a significant step in addressing internal divisions, with Mansaray’s call for unity and commitment to the APC’s mission resonating strongly among the attendees.
