Bo City Council Declares General Cleaning Day with Official Notice

In a notice issued on November 20, 2023, the Bo City Council has declared Saturday, November 25, 2023, as General Cleaning Day in Bo City. Residents are urged to tidy up garages, neglected land, overgrown areas, and clogged drainages from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Non-governmental organizations, commercial, government, and private vehicles must stay off the streets during this time, with violators compelled to participate in the cleaning.

Parents are advised to ensure their children avoid using streets as football fields during the cleaning period, facing legal consequences if they do so. The Sierra Leone Police, Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces, and Bo City Council Metropolitan Police will enforce these regulations.
