Chief Minister David Sengeh Donates Tricycles to Support Clean Pujehun Initiative

Chief Minister of Sierra Leone, David Moinina Sengeh, has donated three tricycles to the Clean Pujehun Agency (CPA) during his recent visit to Pujehun District. This contribution is aimed at improving waste management and public health in the region. The donation also aligns with ongoing efforts to address concerns about overcrowding at the Pujehun Correctional Center.

During his visit, the Chief Minister met with local authorities and community leaders, discussing the importance of prison reform, inmate rehabilitation, and better living conditions within the correctional facility. His efforts are part of a larger governmental plan focusing on human rights, rehabilitation, and inmate reintegration into society.

In his speech, Chief Minister Sengeh emphasized the importance of local partnerships in achieving national development goals. He praised the Clean Pujehun Agency for its dedication to maintaining cleanliness and improving public hygiene in the district.

The tricycles will play a crucial role in helping the agency manage waste more efficiently, particularly in areas where larger vehicles face challenges. The agency coordinator expressed gratitude for the donation, stating that it will enhance their capacity to serve more communities and contribute to a healthier environment in Pujehun.

In addition to the donation, Chief Minister Sengeh reiterated the government's commitment to reforming correctional facilities, focusing on reducing overcrowding and improving rehabilitation programs.

The donation and the Chief Minister's visit were warmly received by Pujehun residents, who view these efforts as positive steps toward improving public health and addressing local correctional center issues.
