COFA Disciplinary Committee Sides with Soja Tong Football Community
The Central One Football Association (COFA) Disciplinary Committee has disqualified the Kroo Town Road Rangers (KTR) from this year’s competition after they fielded Abu Bakar Turay, an ineligible player who was banned by the Western Area Football Association (WAFA) in July 2024.
The Soja Tong Football Community lodged a protest, and COFA's investigation found KTR in violation of WAFA’s rules. As a result, three points were awarded to Soja Tong, propelling them to the quarterfinals, while KTR was removed from the tournament. COFA emphasized its commitment to fair play and tournament integrity.
