Director of Finance at SLPHA Elevates Ports Authority FC with Donation of Football Boots
The Director of Finance at the Sierra Leone Ports and Harbour Authority (SLPHA), Mr. Andrew Kpulum, has demonstrated his support for the Ports Authority Football Club by donating 29 pairs of football boots. This generous gesture serves as an expression of appreciation for the team's outstanding performance in the Leone Rock Premier League, fulfilling a commitment Mr. Kpulum had previously made to the club.
The donation was warmly received by the Ports Authority Football Club, with team captain Mohamed Bangura expressing gratitude on behalf of the players. Abubakarr Kamara (ESQ.), Chairman of the Ports Authority Football Club Executive, also extended his thanks to Mr. Kpulum. He encouraged other well-wishers to follow this example of support for the team.
Acknowledging the impact of such encouragement, the team's coach, Hassan Mila Conteh, attributed the recent positive performance of the Waterfront Boys to the motivation provided by the management of SLPHA. This collaborative effort between the SLPHA Director and the football club not only enhances the team's morale but also strengthens the bond between the organization and its sports representatives.
In the spirit of fostering sports development, these contributions play a crucial role in supporting local sports teams and promoting a sense of community engagement. The Ports Authority Football Club looks forward to utilizing the donated football boots as they continue to represent and compete in the sporting arena.
This act of generosity underscores the importance of corporate and individual support for grassroots sports, contributing to the growth and success of local teams and athletes.
