Erik ten Hag has reached out to Manchester United supporters after being dismissed from his role as manager on Monday. The decision came following United’s disappointing 2-1 loss to West Ham, marking a tough start to the season.

Ten Hag, who led United to two trophies, was replaced by Ruben Amorim, set to take charge later this month and lead his first match against Ipswich Town following the international break. Over his tenure from May 2022 to October 2024, Ten Hag managed 128 games, with 70 wins, 23 draws, and 35 losses. Despite his efforts, he became the fifth manager to leave the club since Sir Alex Ferguson's departure in 2013.

As he departs, Ten Hag expressed gratitude to the fans for their support. Meanwhile, Amorim, a highly successful coach in Portugal with a win rate over 71%, steps into one of the most challenging roles in football.
