Fyn Face Shows Interest in Peace Ambassador Role Following Boss LA’s Legal Troubles

Sierra Leonean singer Fyn Face has stirred conversations online after expressing his desire to become the country’s next Peace Ambassador, following the recent imprisonment of rapper Boss LAJ.

In a social media post that quickly gained attention, the artist hinted at stepping into the role, suggesting that a new Peace Ambassador could be on the way. His statement came shortly after a performance for President Julius Maada Bio, further fueling speculation about his ambitions.

Fyn Face, who leads the Soja Team Movement and was once associated with the Black Leo group, believes he is a strong candidate for the position. He argued that the current title holder is no longer fit to represent the role, especially given the ongoing legal situation.

Boss LAJ, whose real name is Alhaji Amadu Bah, was appointed Peace Ambassador in February 2024 with responsibilities centered on promoting unity, tolerance, and peaceful conflict resolution across Sierra Leone. However, his recent arrest has put his position under scrutiny.

The rapper was detained after allegedly making offensive remarks about the Mayor of Kenema during a live performance. Following a court appearance in early April 2026, he was denied bail and remains in custody, with the case adjourned for further hearing.

Fyn Face’s announcement has drawn mixed reactions from the public. While some see it as confidence and ambition, others question whether he has the public image and influence required for a role that demands strong moral leadership and national respect.

Despite the criticism, the singer remains an active figure in the industry. He has spent years building his career and supporting emerging talents through his record label. He also enjoys some level of recognition at the national level, with one of his songs reportedly being a favorite of the President.

Still, his journey has not been without challenges. From past performance setbacks to public criticism, opinions about him remain divided.

His statement comes at a time when conversations around responsibility, discipline, and influence in Sierra Leone’s entertainment space are growing louder, especially following recent controversies involving major artists.
