Government Provides Fuel Support to Medical Doctors for Third Quarter of 2024
The Government of Sierra Leone, through the Ministry of Health, has announced fuel distribution for medical doctors for the third quarter of the 2024 fiscal year. This initiative aims to support healthcare professionals in performing their duties efficiently.
According to recent instructions, health facility leaders across all districts are required to formally request fuel supplies on behalf of the eligible medical staff in their facilities for the July to September period. These requests should include the names of all qualified doctors stationed at each facility.
For newly appointed doctors eligible for fuel support, facility heads are asked to submit additional documents such as the vehicle’s life card, valid insurance, and the doctor’s posting letter.
This fuel allocation is particularly significant for medical professionals working in rural and underserved regions. The Ministry encourages facility leaders to submit their requests promptly to ensure smooth and timely distribution.
This effort reflects the government’s commitment to supporting healthcare workers across Sierra Leone, recognizing the essential role they play in safeguarding public health.
