
Khalimat Shahad Hospital Embarks on Three-Day Free Surgeries Mission in Sierra Leone
In an effort to provide essential healthcare support to Sierra Leoneans, Khalimat Shahad Hospital is collaborating with consultant surgeons Dr. A. Bangura and Dr. A. Sillah for a three-day free surgeries mission scheduled to commence from March 11th to 13th, 2024. The hospital, inaugurated on April 25th, 2023, by Mrs. Zainab Jalloh Senessie, a Sierra Leonean resident in the United Kingdom, aims to enhance the health sector in Sierra Leone, particularly in Robureh, Bombali Shebora Chiefdom, Bombali district.
Midwife Zainab, the Project Manager, will spearhead the collaboration, focusing on procedures such as Hernia Repair, Lumps, and Bumps. The registration for these surgeries is set to begin on February 5th, 2024. Notably, Khalimat Shahad Hospital operates as a non-profit entity, dedicated to addressing health challenges within the village and the chiefdom at large.
