Leone Stars Coach Selects 26 Local Players for AFCON Qualifier Training
The head coach of Sierra Leone’s national football team, Amidu Karim, has called up 26 locally-based players for training sessions beginning on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at the SLFA Academy. These sessions are in preparation for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers. Sierra Leone will face off against Chad and Zambia in crucial matches scheduled for September 6 and 9, 2024.
The selected players come from various clubs across the country, with the squad featuring a mix of goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and forwards, all aiming to secure their spot in the final team lineup for the qualifiers.
